FAQ's

What is chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)?

Short answer

A cardiovascular condition that causes blood to pool in your legs.

Long answer

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a condition that occurs when the walls and valves in your leg veins do not properly circulate blood to and from your heart.  As a result, blood pools in the veins in your legs, and this pooling, called stasis, leads to spider veins, reticular veins, and varicose veins.

These three different kinds of abnormal veins caused by CVI are categorized based on their size. Spider veins measure less than 1mm in diameter, reticular veins are anywhere from 1-3 millimeters in diameter, and varicose veins measure more than 3mm in diameter.

The increased pressure on the blood that pools in your legs when you have CVI gradually causes your blood vessels to swell and expand.  CVI usually starts with spider veins, and reticular and varicose veins develop as the condition progresses.

What are varicose veins?

Short answer

Twisted, enlarged veins measuring larger than 3mm.

Long answer

Varicose veins are enlarged, contorted veins that are clearly visible under the surface of the skin.
In addition to being unsightly, varicose veins can also be painful, and in extreme circumstances, varicose veins can cause severe bleeding and infections.

Veins become varicose when they are subjected to increased blood pressure over an extended period of time.
Chronic venous insufficiency is the root cause of varicose veins, but this condition is often comorbid with obesity.
People who are obese and remain standing for long durations are more at risk of varicose veins, and this condition also becomes more common as you age.

What are the symptoms of varicose veins?

Short answer

Itching, bulging veins.

Long answer

The most common symptom of varicose veins is the enlargement and twisting of veins. With this condition, veins become so large that they are easily visible below the skin, and they often twist and contort to the extent that a single varicose vein can span a large area of skin.

If left untreated, varicose veins can start to itch, and in severe cases, extreme pain may also occur. Varicose veins can cause swelling and a feeling of heaviness throughout the affected area, and under rare circumstances, the skin covering varicose veins can tear, causing ulceration that takes a long time to heal.

How do you treat varicose veins?

Short answer

Topical antioxidants, compression socks, laser treatment, sclerotherapy, or vein stripping

Long answer

The best way to treat varicose veins is to mobilize the body’s natural healing resources.
When applied topically, antioxidants like bioflavonoids combined with hemp or citrus extract can help your veins heal without the need for further therapy.

Compression socks are also safe, natural treatments for varicose veins that gently apply pressure to the affected area to encourage vein reduction. In conjunction with other therapies, lasers can be useful tools for heating varicose veins, which often reduces their size.

The more invasive a treatment for varicose veins is, the more risky it becomes.
Sclerotherapy is a treatment that injects drugs into your veins, but these drugs can have undesirable side effects. A more advanced form of this treatment, called foam sclerotherapy, entirely closes affected veins with a foam sealant.

As an even more extreme example, vein stripping entirely removes affected veins from your body.  It goes without saying that blocking or stripping your veins majorly disrupts your cardiovascular system, and in addition to being risky,
these invasive treatments are usually rendered unnecessary by the use of safe therapies like topical antioxidant treatment and compression socks.

Which bioflavonoids does Varicose Vein Treatment Cream contain?

Short answer

Hesperidin, diosmin, and aescin.

Long answer

The three major bioflavonoids contained in Varicose Vein Treatment Cream are hesperidin, diosmin, and aescin, which is a component of horse chestnut extract.
Each of these bioflavonoids are considered to be potent antioxidants, and they have unique qualities that contribute to the benefits offered by Varicose Vein Treatment Cream.

Chronic venous insufficiency can be caused by a variety of different factors, but the symptoms this disease expresses are worsened by oxidative stress.  Since antioxidants like the bioflavonoids we include in Varicose Vein Treatment Cream reduce oxidative stress naturally without causing side effects, they are quick and effective treatments for spider veins and reticular veins.

Over time, applying antioxidants to areas affected by CVI can even reduce the appearance of varicose veins and help them heal. Since varicose veins are significantly larger than spider veins and reticular veins, however, the healing process takes longer.

Is hemp extract legal?

Short answer

Yes.

Long answer

In 2018, the President signed a bill separating hemp extract. While the FDA has yet to release specific guidance regarding the sale of hemp extract in the United States, it is universally agreed upon that the 2018 Farm Bill fully decriminalizes hemp extract and removes any and all obstacles that may have prevented the growth of it in the industry.

What is citrus-derived extract?

Short answer

Bioidentical to hemp extract molecules that have been reconstructed from citrus terpenes.

Long answer

Recently, scientists discovered that it is possible to create an extract from compounds in citrus peels. Citrus-derived extract is bioidentical to the one from hemp, which means that it has the same chemical structure as hemp-derived extract.

To create citrus-derived extract, our manufacturers take limonene, a terpene found in citrus peels and many other fruit peels, and reconstruct it into  molecules using a proprietary process called Cyclic Terpene Assembly (CTA). The extracts from citrus may also offer better purity than the ones from hemp.

Third-party labs have confirmed that our citrus-derived extract is 100%-authentic. Our lab reports prove that this next-generation hemp alternative is molecularly identical with hemp-derived extract while eliminating potential legal, sourcing, and quality concerns.

Can I use Varicose Vein Treatment Cream with other treatments?

Short answer

Yes, but you might want to consult your doctor.

Long answer

Our Varicose Vein Treatment Cream is designed to go on smooth and absorb into every skin type almost instantly. Therefore, there is no reason you shouldn’t incorporate this cream into your existing skincare routine, and you can also add more products to your daily routine after you start using Varicose Vein Treatment Cream.

The hemp or citrus extract in our cream, however, may interact with certain prescription drugs. If you’re currently using prescription drugs, it’s important to consult with your doctor prior to using Varicose Vein Treatment Cream to make sure that no harmful interactions take place.

How long will it take for Varicose Vein Treatment Cream to provide results?

Short answer

Allow 4 weeks for cosmetic results.

Long answer

You should start noticing relief from the itching and aching that varicose veins cause within hours after applying Varicose Vein Treatment Cream. The natural, soothing oils in our cream help your skin and underlying tissues relax and begin the healing process.

Repeated applications are necessary, however, to achieve the type of long-lasting relief from varicose veins that you seek. Your spider veins and reticular veins (less than 3mm) may start to fade and heal within 4 weeks or so of treatment, but varicose veins ( over 3mm) generally take considerably longer to heal.

It’s necessary to continue applying your cream twice a day throughout this duration to experience the results you desire.

In some cases, varicose veins may be too large or advanced to be treated with topical antioxidants. If you do not notice significant results from using Varicose Vein Treatment Cream after around four weeks, consider consulting with a vascular doctor to determine whether conventional medical procedures may be more appropriate. If you’ve been using our hemp-based cream, you can also try switching to our citrus-derived cream or vice versa.

Does Varicose Vein Treatment Cream contain any harmful toxins?

Short answer

No.

Long answer

Neither our hemp-derived extract nor our citrus-derived extract contain any harmful toxins.
When it comes to our citrus-derived extract, there is no chance of any harmful contamination whatsoever.

Where is Varicose Vein Treatment Cream produced?

Short answer

At an FDA-registered lab in the United States.

Long answer

We formulate our final products in a registered production facility that exceeds FDA guidelines. None of our products are imported, and we give back to the American economy by placing a priority on using USA-made ingredients in Varicose Vein Treatment Cream.

Are your products lab-tested?

Short answer

Yes.

Long answer

We take great pride in the quality of our hemp or citrus-infused topicals. We only use extracts from trusted sources, and both our hemp and citrus-derived extracts are tested by third-party, independent labs.

With our hemp-derived extract, testing is important to ensure that this critical ingredient is not contaminated pesticides, mycotoxins, or other contaminants that sometimes make their way into hemp.

With our citrus-derived extract, third-party lab testing is essential to show that this revolutionary production method results in genuine, bioidentical hemp extract.
